If I think about my future and my eyes are closed

not know my next steps,
ne 'What will I learn to rejoice;
perhaps my only child will live
in my verses, perhaps
will touch the shores of rivers and remote
thoughts of strangers;
that will end?
I do not know the answer but I know that it comes slowly
day after day.
